1. Data controller
The data controller refers to the company that determines how and for what purpose your personal data is used.
The sole data controller responsible for processing the personal data collected on the Website is LA BARRIERE AUTOMATIQUE (hereinafter “the Publisher”).
2. Identifiable personal data
- Contact form: When you use the contact form, the following data is stored: first name, last name, e-mail address. Inputting any other personal data in the free field of the form is prohibited.
- Registration form: When you use the registration form (to be able to access certain documents on the Website), the data contains the following information: first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, profile (installer, etc.), country.
- Login: When you log onto the Website, it records your IP address, login and browsing data, as well as your location. This data is stored automatically as a result of your activity on the Website.
When data is collected, an asterisk indicates that the information that is mandatory. If you fail to provide any of these mandatory details, the Publisher will not be able to process your request.
3. Data concerning minors
In order to comply with regulations for the protection of minors, the Publisher does not process the personal data of minors.
The services available on the Website are therefore intended for people aged 18 and over. Anyone under the age of 18 wishing to fill in a contact form must ask their legal representative to do so on their behalf.
4. Purpose of data collection
The Publisher collects your personal data mainly for the following purposes:

- Detection, prevention and combatting of any attempted malicious acts or computer intrusion or any violation of the current Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website, in order to ensure the security of the Website and combat fraud;
- Management of requests for rights of access, rectification and opposition.
5. Legal basis for processing and retention period
The processing of your personal data is justified on various grounds (legal basis) depending on how we use it.
Recorded data is kept for a given period, at the end of which it may be archived with restricted access for a further period for limited reasons authorised by law (payment, guarantee, disputes, etc.). After these deadlines, the data is deleted.
You will find the legal bases and retention periods that we apply to our main processing operations below.

6. Data recipients
Within the limits of their respective responsibilities, the following people may have access to personal data:
- Authorised staff from the marketing department, sales department, customer relations and prospecting departments, administrative departments, logistics and IT departments and their line managers;
- Authorised staff from the departments responsible for auditing (statutory auditor, departments responsible for internal audit procedures, etc.).
The data collected on the Website is intended for use by the Publisher and all the companies in the Publisher’s group (in particular BA DEVELOPPEMENT and AMCO LES ESCAMOTABLES) and/or the Publisher’s partners and data processors.
7. Social media
The use of social media to interact with the Website may result in the exchange of data between the Publisher and these social media platforms.
The data transmitted is browsing data (pages visited, product viewed, product category viewed, etc.).
The legal basis for this processing is the consent you give when accepting cookies (see clause 8.4. below).
Data collected by the Publisher on its own behalf in connection with social media is governed by the present Terms and Conditions. However, the Publisher is not responsible for the use made of your data by social media platforms
for their own account. You are therefore invited to consult the policies regarding management of
personal data on the various social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) to find out exactly what information is collected by them. You can also choose the access and data confidentiality settings directly on the social media platforms.
8. Cookies
8.1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file deposited when you visit the Website or view an advertisement. It is stored in a specific location on the hard disk of your computer or mobile device.
A cookie does not identify you personally. Its main purpose is to collect information relating to your browsing on the Website, to enable you to browse efficiently and provide you with personalised services.

8.4 Acceptance and management of cookies

8.5 Cookie retention period
Each cookie has a limited validity period, which varies according to the type of cookie.
In any event, cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months as of the date of collection.
9. Data transfer
The Publisher ensures that personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or to a country that has not been the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
However, transfers outside the European Union may be carried out in the context of the following activities in particular:
- Customer relations;
- Use of data for social media;
- IT services.
In such a case, the Publisher shall implement the appropriate guarantees in accordance with the regulations in force.
10. Security and confidentiality

11. Exercising your rights with regard to your personal data
In accordance with the applicable regulations, you have the following rights:
- Right to update or rectify your personal data;
- Right to delete your personal data;
- Right of access (the right to obtain confirmation of whether or not your personal data is being processed and, if so, the right to have access to such data);
- Right to restrict processing;
- Right to object to the processing of any or all of your personal data;
- The right to data portability (the right to recover data supplied and pass it on to another data controller).

In accordance with current regulations, your request must be signed and accompanied by proof of identity to ensure that the request comes from the person concerned.
A reply will be sent to you within one month of receipt of the request. If necessary, this period may be extended by two months to allow for the complexity of the request or the number of requests.
You also have the right to define directives concerning the sorting of your data after your death under the conditions defined in Article 85 of French Act No. 78-17 of 6 January
1978 (Data Protection Act).
Lastly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
