public-access buildings
Designing and securing public-access buildings
Perimeter security, or protecting the perimeter of public-access buildings, is now a national priority. It is essential to protect members of the public. It can prevent and block access by malicious persons, as well as ensuring the safety of users.
Securing a public-access building is complex and involves securing all access points (pedestrian or vehicular) as well as the pedestrian areas surrounding the building: this is known as perimeter security.
Creating access for service vehicles
Create occasional emergency access points for the fire brigade, or regular access for authorised service vehicles (cleaning, employees, etc.) using AMCO automatic or semi-automatic retractable bollards.
retractable bollards
Station and airport forecourts are very busy. A secure perimeter must be provided for pedestrian areas. Pedestrian areas must be clearly demarcated to avoid accidents with vehicles, and they must also be protected from malicious attacks by installing high-security equipment, such as crash-tested, strong static bollards.
