Retractable road blocker - Withstands the impact of a 7.5-tonne HGV at 80 km/h
The ALE RB90-C65 FP road blocker, manufactured by AMCO, is a hydraulically powered automatic security barrier.
Measuring 90 cm in height, it is available in lengths of 2 to 4 m.
The RB50 is supplied with 15 m of hydraulic pipe for connection to the One-C technical module.
Its galvanised steel frame is just 50 cm high, so the device can be sealed in a 55 cm deep excavation.
The bellows side is made of a flexible material that prevents the device from jamming in the event of an impact. The surface exposed to the tread is composed of multiple chequered stainless steel sheets removable by a person working alone and provides access to inspection hatches for visual inspection inside the device.
This road blocker is powered by an industrial hydraulic pump, which is offset to an adjoining unit (Totem, cabinet, technical room, etc.). The underground part of the RB90 does not contain any integrated sensitive elements.
Its resistance is certified with a double crash test, during which the RB90 stopped two 7.5-tonne HGVs travelling consecutively at 64 km/h with the device remaining operational after the both impacts and without vehicle penetration, supplemented with a digital crash test carried out by an independent Cofrac-accredited body in accordance with IWA 14-1 proving its ability to stop a 7.5-tonne HGV at 80 km/h.
